This is a short and general book about creativity. In it, Kleon offers suggestions for how an artist might get attention online, but I don’t find that to be the most valuable message of the book.
It is motivating to me because it doesn’t take itself too seriously. It reminds me that being too serious about art leads to perfectionism which leads to nothing. Outside of this message that I might have completely projected onto the book myself, Kleon gives some practical advice for getting online attention, most of which I thought was common sense. However, I saw that a lot of other reviewers say that his advice is invaluable.
