A Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams

A Streetcar Named DesireA Streetcar Named Desire by Tennessee Williams
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

If it weren’t for my reading challenge, I probably wouldn’t have read this, but I’m glad I did (I had to read one play).

This is a well-crafted story and choking with symbolism. I’m amazed at how much Williams communicates with a set, stage direction, and dialogue. I can only imagine what it must be like to see it live.

The downside was that the story felt dated to me (sexism, racism, etc).
