Reflections on Meta-Reality: Transcendence, Emancipation and Everyday LifeReflections on Meta-Reality: Transcendence, Emancipation and Everyday Life by Roy Bhaskar
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I read a bunch of Roy Bhaskar books recently, but this was the only one that I read cover to cover.

Overall, I like him very much, but I am just not sure if this book was the best choice as my introduction to him. I read large parts of A Realist Theory of Science, as well, and I think it may be a better choice for an introduction to Bhaskar. I think A Realist Theory of Science does a better job of explaining Critical Realism, but it does this before it was called Critical Realism (it was written in 1975). It does not include Transcendental Dialectical Critical Realism nor Meta-Reality. So, if you want something more comprehensive, then you’d have go to with a later book.
